“The field of optometry in Iran is high in the region,” said Abdollah Farzaneh, speaking at the 21st congress of the Iranian Society of Optometrics at the Razi Conference Center in Tehran on Saturday, August 21. Professionals are lower than other countries.

“Unfortunately, our country is deprived of the Doctor of Optometry, which is the basic need of society, and that is because of the obstacles that exist in the Ministry of Health,” he said.

Farzaneh went on to say that science and the visual sciences, like other medical sciences, have advanced greatly. Therefore, it is necessary to establish a professional doctorate in this field.

He said that more than 5 optometrists in our country are studying in other countries, he said: “We have asked the ministers several times in different periods of the Ministry of Health, but there are obstacles in this ministry that It has caused us to fail.

“We also want the Islamic Consultative Assembly and the President to help us remove these obstacles,” Farzaneh urged the Minister of Health to remove the barriers to the establishment of a professional optometrist in the country.
